El Chapo: The Rise and Fall of a Drug Lord

El Chapo is a crime and drama series that tells the story of the Mexican drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán. The series was produced in collaboration between Netflix and Univision. It consists of a total of 34 episodes.

The show follows Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán’s journey from starting as a low-ranking drug trafficker for a cartel in Mexico in 1985 to establishing the Sinaloa Cartel and becoming one of the world’s most powerful drug lords, ultimately leading to his capture.

Although the series is inspired by real events, it includes some dramatization and fictional characters. However, major events such as El Chapo’s prison escapes, drug wars, and his dealings with the government are portrayed with significant accuracy.
