Samsung is moving into mass production of solid-state batteries. The South Korean tech giant has announced a major milestone in solid-state battery technology. The company is preparing to begin mass production of its oxide-based solid-state batteries, which have achieved record energy density levels, within this year. Initially, Samsung had planned to introduce the first prototypes by 2025 and integrate the technology into electric vehicles by 2027. However, in line with its schedule, Samsung has developed a battery that reaches the highest energy density and capacity in the industry. These batteries are expected to achieve an energy density of 500 Wh/kg.
